The Shining – Idiomz and Lua C.

The ShiningLast Lyricists emcee, Idiomz da Prophesayer (aka Idiomz – @idiomz) has teamed up with beat maker extraordinaire, Lua C. (@luamusic) to release a collaborative single project entitled THE SHINING. This project was over a year in the making; and, even though it only features two tracks by the duo, the fellowship that has grown during the process is evident in this body of work.

This single project by Idiomz featuring the production talents of Lua C. adds to the list of international collaborations undertaken by Idiomz who resides in Tampa, Florida. Lua C. currently makes his home in Gaborone, Botswana. In 2012, Idiomz collaborated with Icelandic beat maker KingVerse (@versey23) to release the EP Project THE GEMINI EFFECT.

Coming Soon: GodzG – Joystick Override

GodzG_LogoFresh off the heals of his freshman release, The Lost Tape Chronicles, Last Lyricists DJ and beat maker GodzG (@GodzG) is at it again! This time, he is in the lab cooking up a video game themed beat tape; and, he’s calling in the big guns.

Joystick Override will feature a gaggle of beats derived from classic and obscure video game soundtracks – some you’ll recognize and some you won’t – flipped in that classic GodzG style. But, he’s not flying solo on this one! Like we said, he’s calling in the big guns and has enlisted the talents of fellow Last Lyricists, Idiomz da Prophesayer (@idiomz) in addition to Stale Dale (@dalelogan1), ChonkyBeatz (@Chonkybeatz ), S-Man and Raze Brooks (@RazeBrooks).

Idiomz, Swing Johnson, Jest Nice: International Collaboration

swing-johnsonLast Lyricists emcee, Idiomz da Prophesayer – aka Idiomz (@idiomz) – is teaming up with french beat maker Swing Johnson (@SwingJohnson) and Canadian emcee Jest Nice (@JestNiceMusic) to release a limited edition vinyl pressing scheduled for a summer 2013 release. This collaboration represents many months of work and communication behind the scenes to come up with just the right mix of boombap beats and skillfully crafted wordplay.

This limited edition vinyl pressing will feature four tracks as well as some bonus material. It will be available in limited quantities in both Europe and North America. The trio will also release a digitial edition of the project for download; as well, there is some consideration for releasing it on compact disc.

More information about the project and its availability will follow as we get closer to the actual pressing. In the mean time, please visit the artist’s web sites to find out more about who they are and what they do.
