GodzG | Joystick Override | 03.14.13
Featuring Raze Brooks, S-Man and JimmyJohn & Idiomz
UK based DJ and beat maker, GodzG (@GodzG), releases his debut project, The Lost Tape Chronicles as a part of the Last Lyricists Music label debut.
The Lost Tape Chronicles is a five track beat tape design to give you just enough of a taste of what GodzG brings to the table as a beat maker, that you will have no choice but to come back for more. Consider The Lost Tape Chronicles as a prequel for what’s to come from GodzG in 2013.
The Lost Tape Chronicles was released on 12.12.12 and is available for download on Bandcamp.

So, recently I was on Soundcloud checking my feed and noticed that Lee Green (Humble Beast) had favorited a couple tracks by this guy (who at the time, I was completely unfamiliar with) B.DURAZZO. Since, I really respect Lee Green as an artist, I thought I would check out what B.DURAZZO sounded like; in short, I was blown away.
“Benjamin Durazzo is a 23-year-old hip-hop producer in the Blockhead vein of hip-hop producers, who teaches middle school kids music when he’s not in front of his MPC.” – Patrick Taylor – RapReviews
After listening to his other tracks for about an hour, I decided to Google his name and see what popped up. To my pleasure, I saw that he had a Bandcamp set up AND had two free beat tapes available; Beats Vol 1 & Beats Vol 1 ½. Needless to say I downloaded those immediately, but as they were downloading I hit up YouTube as well.
“Not only was watching Ben play interesting, but the beat which he composes is pretty ill. The instrumental has a haunting quality reminiscent of RJD2′s earlier work and that classic boom-bap feel that really gets your head nodding.” – Joseph Goral – SockMonkeySound
What is this? Performing tracks from his beat tape on dual MPC’s? All DAY! Although we still have 6 months, this guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite finds this year.
I got a couple beat tapes for you guys to check out, both from producers outside the US. Politks dropped a dope tape that he sent to us a while back. This beat tape is really simple, but it’s still got that grimy boom bap feel to it. It’s free and if you like what you hear you can hit him up for beats at politiksproductions@gmail.com

Secondly the homey Relic released a beat tape this week, to gear up for his new album “Miles To Go” that will be dropping this year. The beat tape is free too!
Majestic Beats has been making beats for minute. Residing in Rhode Island he’s a producer for the Colorado crew the Fresh Breath Committee and right now he’s working on an LP with Fo Chief from FBC. So to get you better acquainted with the producer, Majestic gave us a beat tape that you’ll only be able to find here at Last Lyricists! 11beats for your listening pleasure and be on the look for the album by Fo Chief and Majestic Beats called “Out the Deep End” (which we’ll have some samples of next week)

I’ve known DJ Clutch for a minute and the homey has mad talent and worked with a slew of dope emcees, his catalog continues to grow and I’m pretty sure the homey is my age. So we decided to do y’all a favor and collaborate. If you buy a beat from DJ Clutch and tell him Last Lyricists sent you, he’ll give you another one for free! There’s no reason to sleep on this and just to prove it to you, Clutch cooked up a little beat tape for you just to so you know how dope he is. I’ll let him introduce himself a little further.

Along side The Runaway, Crisis, & Qu-C he is a part of the Custodians. He’s obsessed with drum breaks, vinyl, and delayed synth sounds. The average day ends with 3 new beats, though it’s not uncommon to find 5 hitting the shared dropbox folders. Make sure you hit him up, but as a test drive, download the beat tape.
Muneshine, first time I heard the guy was when we was part of Lightheaded and his beats were so unique and had more jazz influence than most. Then I got “A Walk In A Park” which in my eyes is one of the best beat tapes ever. So now here we are and the Canadian producer/emcee is working on a new album AND he just released a beat tape that I received last week that has some dope beats on it. Download the tape for free below and peep one of the beats on the tape right here!
